A: Yes, driver installation is required for macOS® and Windows® systems. If your computer has network access and administrative rights, Windows® can often automatically install the driver when the device is plugged in.
Q: Will this dock provide power to my laptop?
A: When connected to a power source, the USB-C® input charging port supports USB-C® Power Delivery 2.0, allowing you to charge your laptop or smartphone. The adapter can connect to a USB-C® port that doesn’t support Power Delivery, but it will not pass power through the connected device. For maximum performance with high-powered USB devices, attach a USB-C® power adapter.
Q: What display resolutions are supported by the HDMI ports?
A: One of the HDMI™ ports can output resolutions up to 4K (3840 x 2160). The other HDMI™ port can output resolutions up to 1080p or 2K (2048 x 1152) when both are in use. A 4K-capable display is required to achieve the highest resolution.
