The THERMAL GRIZZLY Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal thermal compound is the further development of Conductonaut and was developed for applications with maximum power density. As a liquid metal based on gallium, Conductonaut Extreme is a metallic alloy that is liquid at room temperature and thus allows the minimum possible layer thickness.
Conductonaut Extreme is technically not a thermal paste because a paste consists of liquid and solid particles. The disadvantage of a paste is the solid particles. The surfaces of the base plate of the CPU cooler and the CPU heat spreader are uneven on a microscopic level. A traditional thermal paste fills these bumps unevenly. Since the solid particles are larger than the gaps caused by the bumps, more distance between the cooler and the heat spreader must be filled out.
A heat conductive in the form of liquid metal does not have this problem because it does not contain any „ large “ particles. As a result, the surfaces of the CPU cooler and heat spreader are closer together. At the same time, liquid metal has a constant heat transfer, while the larger particles in pastes generally conduct heat better. Liquid metal is preferable to a thermal paste, especially in applications with a high amount of energy.
Conductonaut Extreme is manufactured at our production site in Germany in compliance with the highest quality standards. The entire production chain is continuously monitored by our professionally trained staff. From checking the purity of the raw material, manufacturing the liquid metal and filling to packaging, production is subject to multiple quality controls.
Conductonaut Extreme is recommended as a high-end product for experienced users who are looking for a solution with the best heat dissipation in the temperature range of over 8 ° C. We recommend applying Conductonaut Extreme to nickel-plated copper as this offers the best long-term stability.
*In this temperature range, Conductonaut Extreme can be applied to the surface. If the application temperature during storage and transport has fallen below, it is recommended to heat the product to at least 25 ° C beforehand. Under no circumstances use a microwave for this.
** The operating temperature corresponds to the temperature after use and can fall below the application temperature. Very low temperatures can change application and operation significantly. Appropriate application tests and long-term tests are expressly recommended before each specific application.
*** refers to a temperature range of 25 ° C – 500 ° C
Scope of delivery
Note: The Conductonaut Extreme thermal paste must not be used with aluminum coolers!
Note: Conductonaut Extreme is a metal alloy and can leave optical residues. For best long-term performance, we recommend heat sinks with nickel-plated copper floors.
